# H. Paul Santmire

> The Rev. Dr. H. Paul Santmire is a Lutheran pastor, historian, and pastoral scholar in ecological theology, environmental ethics, and Christian liturgy and spirituality. This is his personal site: his books, a searchable library of his writings since 1958, and his blog, Walking Thoughts.

Paul has written about nature, God, and ecology from a Christian theological perspective since before the first Earth Day in 1970. He served as Chaplain and Lecturer in Religion at Wellesley College, as pastor of an inner-city congregation in Hartford, Connecticut, and as Senior Pastor of a historic downtown church in Akron, Ohio. He is ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and lives and writes in the Boston area.
